Conservation Photography

For as long as I have memories I have been a fan of nature. As a child I spent more hour watching Steve Erwin, Animal Planet and Discovery Channel than I dare to admit. This early childhood development lead to me pursuing biology as an undergraduate at Southern Utah University and eventually a Masters in Biology from Brigham Young University in food web ecology.

Do You Need A Photographer Who Knows?

I have seven years of college training in Biology. I have an additional three years of working for state and federal agencies working with wildlife. That is a decade of experience in science, biology and the outdoors. That means when you need a photographer to document a project, identify critical habitat for protection I know what I am looking for and I know how to make it look good.

If you are a conservation organization and need a photographer please reach out and contact me. I generally work in the desert southwest, but can work in a variety of regions and environments to get the images necessary for you and your organization.

Pricing

Option 1- Are you just looking for an image for your organization and would like to use one of my images? This is the simplest options and I charge a flat fee for use of a single image or I provide a bulk discount for 10 or more images. Contact me for pricing specifics and which images you are interested in.

Option 2- Do you need a specific project photographed? If that is the case and need a whole new set of images that have not been created, I can help with that as well. These pricing plans include day rates, travel reimbursements and potentially per diem. In general I work around the western half of the United States, but if you need images from a further away place, that is doable as well.

Previous Projects

Southern Utah Wilderness Alliance

Southern Utah Wilderness Alliance needed images for a project that highlighted the Grand Staircase for fundraising and public awareness campaigns. They purchased 10 images that were used across social media, internal documents, presentations for fund raising and lobbying for the protection of the monument.  Below is an example of an image used on a social media post.

Western River Conservancy

Earlier this year I was contact by Western River Conservancy to work on a project for them in the region. Since the project is still under contact and is currently not made public, I wont discuss the area or the nature of the project in detail until they announce it themselves. Instead of just buying images, this organization hired me for two days to photograph their project.

The project will directly benefic hikers and those who like backpacking in around the region. If everything goes according to plan, this organization will protect a region that means a lot to a lot of people. These images will become apart of the future fund raising, lobbying and activism so that more areas can be protected for fish, hikers and wildlife.
